Since the Coronavirus postponed the NBA season this year, the league has come up with a way to still keep the fans entertained. They will participate in an NBA 2K tournament. The first games started Friday night with the #1 seed, Kevin Durant, losing to the #16 seed, Derrick Jones, Jr.

Sixteen players are participating in this tournament to win. Each player chooses 8 teams to play with and can use them each once along the way. The tournament winner will receive a $100,000 charity donation in their name to support Coronavirus relief efforts.

The Games will air on ESPN or ESPN2, the ESPN app, the NBA App, and all social media. Round 1 and the quarterfinals took place on April 3rd, April 5th, and April 7th. The finals will take place on April 11th but the time has yet been revealed.

The players that are left are Trae Young vs. Deandre Ayton, Patrick Beverley vs. Andre Drummond, Derrick Jones Jr. vs. Montrezl Harrell, and Rui Hachimura vs. Devin Booker. Whoever wins their games advances to the semifinals. One step closer to the championship and the $100,000 charity money.
