Bears fail to come back against Killingly

Killingly scored three goals in the second half and topped Stonington High, 3-2, in an ECC Division II girls soccer game Monday. Stonington led 1-0 at the half on a goal by Amelia Caron. Rachel Sabbadini assisted on the score.

But Killingly scored the next three goals, all in the second half. Stonington’s Vanessa Benjamin scored with three minutes remaining off a Carleigh O’Keefe assist, but the Bears could not complete the comeback. Stonington keeper Tori LoPresto finished with 10 saves.

The Bears drop to (4-5, 1-3 in ECC). Their next game is on Wednesday against Woodstock Academy at 4 p.m.
