Looking for a Fun Afternoon Full of Art and Music? Come to “After After Dark” at the Mystic Museum of Art on October 13th

Story by Ava Schrage and Greyson DelGrosso

The Mystic Museum of Art will be hosting an “Art After Dark” event on Sunday, October 13th from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm at the art center.

Tickets are available for purchase at the door, and the prices are $12 for members, $15 for nonmembers, $3 for kids between ages 4 and 12, while all children 3 or under get in for free. The price includes live music and art inclusion for all, as well as food, drinks, and parking.

Pizza from Pizzetta will be served along with lemonade and water. Music will be performed by a local folk band from East Lyme called The Carleans who tour local venues around Rhode Island and Connecticut.

The art activities that will be held include creating “pumpkin spice” quilts and “trick or treat” tableaus. Celebrate fall by painting and participating in making a collaborative Jack o’Lantern monoprint quilt. Everyone who attends and is interested in doing art is encouraged to create their own unique image, which will then be cut into quarters and traded around to make an interactive mosaic of patterns.

If you’re interested in art, come support Mystic Arts by attending this event this weekend.
