SHS Groups Come Together for Empty Bowls Fundraiser

On Tuesday, April 30th from 6pm-8pm there will the Empty Bowls 2019 fundraiser in the Stonington High School Commons. This is an event aimed to raise awareness about food insecurity and to fight hunger.

The cost is $10 for the workshop, dinner of soup and bread and a handmade ceramic bowl. There will also be local entertainment.

On Tuesday, March 19 at 6 pm in the SHS pottery room there will be a bowl-making workshop. Then on April 9 at 6 pm in the pottery room, there will be a bowl-decorating workshop. You will be creating your own personalized soup bowl.

This fundraiser is a collaborative effort between many SHS groups. These include Interact Club, the Pottery Program, Helping Hands Club, the Graphic Design Program, band, TLC Program, and the Cooking Program.

On this website, you can also sign up to volunteer to help the night of the fundraiser. You can also donate food and supplies. 100% of the fees made at the fundraiser will be going back to local food banks.
