On Tuesday, December 4, the French Honors Society showed the HELO Haiti orphanage their support with a fundraiser during the annual Mystic Stroll.

They had a table set up outside of Bank Square Books from 6-7:30 and had baked goods, hot chocolate, tea, and coffee. People who walked by could make donations that would go towards buying the orphanage livestock, such as chickens, goats, and rabbits, and gifts for the holiday season. By the end of the night, they raised $130.62.

Each year, the French Honor Society has supported the orphanage with gifts, donations, and letters. In the past, the orphans have been excited to receive letters from the students, and some have even written back.

The students put in a lot of hard work to make the fundraiser successful and it was the perfect way to welcome the holiday season.
