Stonington High School and Westerly High School finished the “Two Teams, One Cause” fundraiser on Thanksgiving with Stonington winning with a final score of 2772 points to Westerly’s 1778 points.

Throughout the week, students could bring in food and hygiene products. Some were very enthusiastic with one student in Mr. Lewis’s home base donated 400 tubes of toothpaste. The SHS National Honor Society organized the event and their advisor, Mrs. Gauthier said, “I was glad to have a non-athletic event that all students can get involved in.” Even though it was a competition, the true winner was the community.

All proceeds will go to the Pawcatuck Neighborhood Center and Warm Center, so it was great to see students get so involved in something that was for a good cause.
